PM-KISAN 21st Installment: When will it be disbursed, who’s eligible, and how will the status be checked?
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), farmer families found eligible receive ₹6,000 per annum in three installments (₹2,000–₹2,000–₹2,000) directly credited to their bank accounts. At this moment, interest in the 21st installment is gaining momentum. By the previous pattern, it is slated to be released around November 2025, but this will depend on the last announcement made by the officials.
Name of the Scheme
To support financially small and marginal farmers with expenses of seeds, fertilizers, irrigation, pesticides, and other expenses and strengthen the rural economy through the direct benefit transfer mode so that there is no interaction of any middlemen.
Eligibility:
- Agriculture-able land with valid records in the name of the farmer/family.
- People must have linked Aadhaar to their bank account and e-KYC must have been completed.
- People who do not pay income tax, institutional landholders, etc., are not considered eligible.
- If it is found that an applicant has given wrong information or has registered fictitiously, then his/her benefits may be withheld.
Things Required to Look out for Installation 21
- Have done e-KYC – OTP/biometric verification from the Aadhaar number.
- Verify bank details – Must be an active a/c with correct IFSC and Aadhaar seeding completed.
- Keep land record updated – free from errors in name, Khasra/Khatauni.
- Keep mobile number active – to receive SMS/status updates.
Steps to Check Status (From Home)
- Go to the official website pmkisan.gov.in.
- Go to Farmers Corner → Beneficiary Status.
- Enter one of Aadhaar/Mobile/Account and submit.
- The installment status will appear on the screen as Payment Success/Pending/Under Process.
- To see a village-wise list, select State → District → Tehsil → Block → Village in the Beneficiary List, and the list of beneficiaries will appear.
Reasons for Delay in the Installment
- e-KYC incomplete; Aadhaar-account unlinked.
- Incorrect IFSC/account number; bank account inactive.
- Error in land records; violation of eligibility.
- Under investigation for duplicate/fake registrations.
Solution: Get the information corrected with the nearest Agriculture Dept./CSC center/bank; the amount may be credited in the next installment once the details have been updated.
Quick Tips
- Type in the name/Aadhaar as recorded exactly while logging into the portal.
- If you do not receive an OTP, check the network or do-not-disturb settings or do biometric e-KYC at the CSC.
- If you have changed your bank, do the passbook/IFSC updating on the portal.
- If several members of a single family have registered, only one will be eligible according to family criteria—payments will be withheld for all others.
